Ursae takes its name from the stars of the constellation Ursa Major. According to ancient Greek myth, Ursa Major is the transformed nymph Adrasteia, who nursed Zeus as a child. As the first recorded goldsmith, she created for Zeus a miraculous golden orb, with a fiery trail, the like of which could not even be bettered by Hephaistos, god of smiths. Likewise, Ursae aim to produce flawless creations, and to take forward in all their work that legacy of the first goldsmith, striving for perfection.
